These direct fit replacement rotors utilize three important features in design and construction:

1) Reverse Bench Configuration draws cooling air from the rotor interior which minimizes heat deformation. This design also minimizes the rotor’s static weight.

2) 5 Slot construction comes from hours of brake dyno testing and experience with the succesful JGTC racing series.

Manufactured with the same technology used to produce JGTC brake components, Mugen high performance rotors are available as direct replacements for a variety of applications.

Mugen’s insulation tubing can be applied to various chassis components to protect them from the extreme temperatures generated during track driving. Most commonly used to protect brakes lines and cable shift linkage. Sold in 1 meter lengths.

Mugen’s Micro Mesh brake line uses braided wire of approximately 0.21 mm formed by braiding seven ultra-fine strands in place of the stainless steel wire (approx. 0.3 mm per strand) used in conventional stainless-steel-braid reinforced hoses. This greatly increases flexibility and dramatically improves fatigue durability, which is a shortcoming with conventional hoses.

Reserve tank covers for the brake and clutch to absorb leakage occurring due to various factors during driving. The fireproof aramid material ensures safety.

Mugen has developed brake pads with ideal high µ values through the use of special materials, and through experimenting with numerous materials while considering the character of the Type R. Two specifications have nevertheless been established for front pads to meet drivers’ requirements.
