Providing a high level of filtering and preventing pressure drop is a difficult task in oil filter design. Mugen has accomplished both with their new high performance oil filter. With the factory Honda filter as the benchmark, Mugen’s design has resulted in a 30% improvement in filter efficiency and at the same time a 10% reduction in pressure drop.

A two-layer construction is used instead of the normal three-layer gasket plate construction, and a rib (+0.07mm) is laser-welded close to the plate surface sleeve to prevent blowout occurring at high compression. This head gasket raises the compression ratio by 0.4 points. Construction is entirely of stainless steel.

Engine Treatment Oil MT105 has been developed as a part of Mugen engine components and is used for racing engines, including F1.

This is specially mapped to the fuel mixture, ignition timing, and combustion. The rev limit is increased to 9,100 rpm from the normal 8,400 rpm, and the VTEC valve timing changeover point is lowered to 4,700 rpm from the normal 5,300 rpm. It is highly recommended that reinforced valve springs be fitted if this E.C.U. is used.

The original Mugen oil cap. Slightly larger in diameter compared to the newer i-VTEC cap, and only available in Silver. Fits all engines produced up to 2002 model year.

Under normal operating conditions the stock engine captures and vents crankcase vapors back into the intake system. In a tuned racing engine these vapors inhibit the combustion process causing lower output and in some cases the vapors can contribute to damaging detonation. The Mugen oil catch tank captures these vapors before they enter the intake tract allowing the engine to make maximum power.
 

This oil pan is fitted with baffles to prevent oil pressure drop due to oil shifting caused by centrifugal forces. The main casing has an original configuration. For production car racing use.

Bolt-on high-capacity radiator. Turn-flow model. Can be fitted to original cooling fans. For production car racing use.

This radiator cap is a high-pressure type that increases the pressure inside the radiator, thus raising the coolant boiling point and increasing cooling efficiency. The open valve pressure is 1.3kg/cm² compared to the normal 1.1kg/cm². It demonstrates its power under high-load situations such as circuit driving.

Higher cooling capacity and lighter weight than stock radiator. Large capacity turn-flow design provides more consistent water temperature control. Bolt-on installation, compatible with stock cooling fan.

This thermostat has the operating temperature set lower than normal. It prevents engine power loss by minimizing rapid water-temperature rises under harsh conditions such as during circuit driving. The use of a flow-control-type valve prevents hunting, thereby achieving rapid stabilization of the water temperature (the engine warms up within a short period). Operating temperature: 68°C
