  SUPER DRIFT DAMPER is made exclusively for drifting; developed for uncompromising people who would like to swing the car more freely, to enjoy real drifting to the extreme, and/or to lower the ride height.
  We have renewed, revised and reset our Type HE damper to meet the demand of remarkably growing 'drift market'. We are now confidently releasing SUPER DRIFT DAMPER for serious drift drivers, emphasizing more than ever on drift control at high-speed.

Development Concepts

Sideway Setting

 

SUPER DRIFT DAMPER was developed to specifically enhance drifting performance, and we have succeeded in bringing drifting controllability to the extreme by securing a proper bump stroke at a lowered height. It can fully exhibit its performance in grip driving, utilizing various features.


For Bigger Wheels & Bigger Tires

 

SUPER DRIFT DAMPER is set up for the optimum performance with widely-used bigger tires / wheels, according to each vehicle models.

A. Upper Mount


 Pillow upper mount is set in each model for controlling the compliance, for realization of direct driving feel and handling incomparable with the original one.

B. Twin-Tube Structure


 Twin-tube shell case is adopted for SUPER DRIFT DAMPER in consideration of reliability, durability and cost effectiveness, enabling this high performance product to be offered to wide range of users at a reasonable price.

C. Full-Length Adjustment Function

Full-length adjustment system with movable lower bracket has been adopted, which enables the separate adjustment of the ride-height and pre-load.

D. Damping Force Adjustability
(Compression and Rebound Together)


SUPER DRIFT DAMPER is equipped with ever-popular 16-level damping force adjustment function, for optimum performance on each different road conditions, such as city streets, winding roads and/or highways. Use of specially shaped needle valve enables linear damping force adjustment at each and every 16 levels.

E. Rust-Proofing



All threading parts are coated with specially formulated Fluorine, to prevent adherence and rust. Electroless nickel plating combined with clear painting is applied to lower brackets.

F. Complete Kit



Pillow upper mount is set in each model for controlling the compliance, for realization of direct driving feel. Shock absorbers, springs and pillow ball upper mounts come in 'complete kit' to assure correct settings (with springs at standard rates).

G. No-Sagging Spring

Straight spring made of high tensile steel, with tensile strength of 200kgf/m m2 (1960N/m m2), is used.

H. Conical Spring Washer

With existing full-length adjustable dampers, various vibration stresses might cause bracket lock to loosen in rare occasions. SUPER DRIFT has 'Conical Spring Washer' inserted between a bracket lock and a lower bracket, to effectively prevent loosening of a bracket lock even when drift-driving intensively.
